Interviewing
Interviewing potential Personal Assistants is an important part of a safe recruitment process. To ensure that both the employer and potential employee are safe, we recommend that initial meetings take place in a public place (e.g. café, community centre, disabled people’s hub etc.).
Individuals should not give out their precise addresses until an initial meeting has taken place, in case you do not want to see someone again.
Employers may also feel more comfortable asking someone to assist them with interviewing, such as a professional or a friend.
Sample interview questions can be found in the Skills for Care 'Employing Personal Assistants Toolkit'.
