Employers can pay their assistant privately through self-funding or they can find someone to support them as a volunteer. Employers may also be eligible to receive a Direct Payment or a Personal Health Budget through which they might be able to pay for an assistant.

Contact The Care Advice Line on 01452 22 22 00 for independent information and advice on the financial aspects of care and support and access to further specialist financial advice.

Employers may also be able to claim funding if they need their assistant to receive some training. To find out more about individual employer funding for training assistants click here.
